My name is Shelley and I’d like to welcome you to my world of Quotes! I wanted to share a little about myself and how I came to create a website of quotes.
I have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful, interesting people who are at various stages of their unique Life Journey. Having chosen a path of difficult lessons, mainly in relationships, I feel that I have developed compassion for others in similar situations – and I know there are a LOT of you out there! 🙂
I trained as a Counselor in my home country of South Africa and was blessed to have the opportunity to assist many in need of advice, understanding and compassion. This, and my own experiences, led me to ask some ‘deep’ questions about life. I was, I believe, guided to read material that answered these questions and awakened something in me and with the help of meditation and said books, I moved further along my spiritual path.
I began to search for quotations from the books I had read and realized that just a few words or sentences could uplift me and assist me to re-focus and remember to have an Attitude of Gratitude. I then shared these quotes on Facebook and realized that it did the same to others too! It is a pleasure and an honor for me to attempt to bring a little light into your life, a smile on your face, and hope in your heart through these quotes.
